21 children are suing the U.S. government over climate change

The American federal court is allowing 21 children to sue the government. The children have sued the government in every state, but Oregon is the first state to move the trial forward. There is no precedence for this and it is uncertain how far the case will go, but allowing individuals to sue the government to take action on climate change indicates that the issue is fast approaching mainstream acceptance.
